'Passion for Fashion' competition. I was writing a post on my other blog  I found a post by a blogger mentioning this competition. The blogger has to create 5 outfits for autumn/winter; Office, First Date, Casual, Outdoor Wear and Party each under £200. All the prizes and details are mentioned in the link above. Go check it! :)

I decided to start with what I thought would be the most difficult. Office wear. This outfit was a River Island overdose as EVERYTHING was chosen from their website. Originally I chose a dress but I couldn't find ANY jacket that suited it. So instead I went for the obvious choice, a blazer. However, instead of the usual black I chose a teal coloured one.As it was a long blazer I knew a skirt wouldn't look right, so I went for high waisted trousers. I chose a white shirt, so it looked  more professional, but one that had a chain attached so no necklace was needed! Bargain. This whole look is rather rockish but I think it is suitable for the office, providing the office job is something to do with art&design... I'm not so sure a business consultant could wear this.

Green Blazer: £55
Rings: £8
Shoes: £45

Total: £196

Okay, the difficulty of picking an outfit for a first date was finding a compromise. You know what I'm talking about...the whole, 'making an effort without looking like you've tried too hard' it's a hard balance to achieve but I think I might have done so with the below outfit... I know it's for autumn/winter but I think for this scenario you would risk being cold in order to look this awesome...

Dress: Urban Outfitters (£55)
Socks: ASOS (£4)
Shoes: New Look (£34.99)
Clutch Bag: New Look (£38.99)
Necklace: Topshop (£25)
Rings: Topshop (£7.50)

Total: £165.48

First of all, out of all the things I have chosen I have to say that this jacket might be the best thing I have ever laid eyes upon. Ever. I found this outfit difficult because I was SO set on choosing this jacket that I based almost everything else on price. All the boots I chose made the outfit come just over £200. Ahhh well, sacrifices have to be made for a gorgeous jacket. Remember those hats that every man and his dog had? The panda/bear ones? I think I've just upped the game with this fox one...

Jacket: River Island (£70)
Rucksack: River Island (£30)
Fox hat: Dorothy Perkins (£12)
Jeans: New Look (£19.99)
Top: New Look (£9.99)
Shoes: Urban Outfitters (£55)

Total: £196.98

This next outfit was the quickest and easiest. Everything is gorgeous and everything looks so comfy. It was also the cheapest! I was going to select Underground creepers but they're more than 3 times the price of these from New Look! I've tried to select an autumn colour palette throughout but with a twist?

Shirt: Topshop (£40)
Tights: ASOS (£10)
Shoes: New Look (£24.99)
Rings: River Island (£12)
Peace Necklace: River Island (£5)
Barry M Nail Varnish in block Orange (£2.99)
Bag: Topshop (£34)

Total: £128.98

Okay, I'm going to presume that this is for autumn and a warm autumn day at that. I just don't think it would have looked right with a cardigan or jacket. No pain, no gain! I went for more pink/purple tonal shades instead of browns and reds for this outfit as they would look more flattering on a night out/at a party. I also debated added a studded belt but I don't think it would sit right. I carried on with the tribal/aztec trend as more studs and spikes wouldn't have complemented the girliness (I'm not 100% sure that's a word?!) of this outfit.

Dress: Topshop (£85)
Bag: New Look (£15.99)
Necklace: New Look (£6.99)
Hand Chain: New Look (£3.99)
Shoes: Topshop (£50)
Mac Lipstick in Pink Plaid (£14)

Total: £175.97
